As you know, Craigslist.org is a mostly free online classifieds site that receives over half a billion
visits per month and is the 13th largest website in the world. However, Craigslist does not accept
data feeds which requires realtors to manually input their listings.
On Thursday, August 4th we released a new advertiser feature that will help advertisers create
attractive Craigslist listings in minutes. This new feature provides advertisers with an easy to
use template that can be cut and pasted into Craigslist listings.
How does the new Share on Craigslist feature work?
The HTML template code we generate for each for sale listing takes property and contact information and generates an attractive “listing detail” look for each listing. The code is designed to include all the listing text necessary for consumers to search and easily discover the listing.The code is even flexible enough to use on other classified sites that support HTML and can even be used to send the listing as an HTML email.
The new feature is found under the Social Syndication section of the Advertiser Control Panel. Advertisers can click the share button for Craigslist to see a list of all of their properties with the corresponding template code. Simply click on the “Get Code” link to get the code for that listing.
